Discover the beauty and grace of fan veils and how to incorporate them into your dance pieces.
Fan Veils are a truly magnificent prop to partner up with and are becoming quite popular as a bellydance prop. They possess the ability to represent and express such a wide variety of moods and attitudes. From soft and subtle, to powerful and paramount, flirty and free to troubled and tragic.
However you choose to use them, fan veils are a dramatic way to help your personal piece or performance come to life providing you with the ability to add stunning backdrops, mysterious wraps, dynamic lines, and breathtaking whirling, swirling colors.
Learn tools to perform flawless fan veil work. We will explore basic technique and Fan Veil fundamentals, a large variety of Fan Veil movements and motions, and MORE! You will learn turns, spins, poses and frames as well as different tucks and wraps. We will explore single fan and closed fan as well. A choreography will be taught in this class and students will have the opportunity to perform in our year end recital. Performing is encourage but not required.
Pre-requisites: At least 2 years of bellydance classes, or equivalent completion of technique and or intermediate classes is required. If you are unsure if you are ready to transition to this level please contact us and we would be happy to help you!
For this class you will need a set of Fan veils. Fan veils are available to purchase in the Desert Rose Boutique at the studio.
Duration: 10 weeks, Wednesdays 6:30-7:30pm (First class begins April 6th 2016)

Payment online is via paypal, if you would like to register for a class and pay with another payment method you can also register for classes in the studio where we accept cash, debit, visa and mastercard
All Registered Classes are Non Refundable - your spot has been reserved for you.
Registration for classes cannot be transfered to a future session and there is no refund for unused classes.
If you have to miss a class, you can make up for the class by dropping into one of our Zumba classes, advanced notice must be given and class must be made up in the same session.
